Due to the seemless windows feature of Simply Cloud9, clients will not be able to access Task Manager through their session on our servers. Thus for clients who wish to close an application because it is either slow, or not responding, the client may need to RDP into the server, and open Task Manager. 1. On your local computer, go to Start. If you're on a Windows XP computer, click on "Run". Type "mstsc" in the run box, and press Enter. If you are on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer, in the search bar, type in "mstsc" and press Enter. 2. A window will pop up called Remote Desktop Connection. In the box labeled "Computer", type in your server URL (vm-XXX.cloud9realtime.com). Press Enter. 3. You will soon be prompted for your login cridentials. Remember to put "cloud9\" before your username, but not before your password. Press Enter. 4. Soon you will be logged into your server, with a desktop very similar to your computer's desktop. Right-click on the Systray, and select "Start Task Manager". 5. Click the Processes tab. On the bottom left, checkmark "Show processes from all users". Locate your User Name (you may want to sort by User Name). Locate the application in which you wish to close, and press "End Process" on the bottom right. You will be asked if you are sure you want to close this process. Click "End Process". This will close the process.
