Scanning Documents to FileCabinet CS via TSScan crashes FileCabinet CS
Posted by Dakota Green on 08 February 2012 12:53 PM

There is a compatibility issue with the combination of TSScan, FileCabinet CS, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 64-bit. To fix this problem, we must enable Compability Mode on FileCabinet CS.

1. On your local computer, go to Start. If you're on a Windows XP computer, click on "Run". Type "mstsc" in the run box, and press Enter. If you are on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer, in the search bar, type in "mstsc" and press Enter.

2. A window will pop up called Remote Desktop Connection. In the box labeled "Computer", type in your server URL (vm-XXX.cloud9realtime.com). Press Enter.

3. You will soon be prompted for your login cridentials. Remember to put "cloud9\" before your username, but not before your password. Press Enter.

4. Locate the FileCabinet CS application (there will most likely be an icon on your desktop). Right-click on the icon and select "Properties".

5. Locate the Compatibility tab in the Properties window. Checkmark "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and in the drop-down menu, select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)". Press Apply, then OK.

Attempt to scan a document into FileCabinet CS as you would normally.

(NOTE: This method may also fix similar issues with other application that involves scanning.)
